Abstract

Independence of thinking is an important feature that can affect all intellectual activity. Its effectiveness is related to how fully the activity is completed and new knowledge is acquired. The development of independence and criticality of thinking does not occur by itself. This process is formed under the influence of training and upbringing. Therefore, studying the influence of training on this development process is of great importance both theoretically and practically. Analysis of A.S. Bayramov's experimental methodology reveals a significant innovation in his work in the field of psychology of thinking.

Until the 1950s, psychologists studying thinking noted that in order to awaken intellectual activity in a subject, it is enough to present him with a task. And vice versa, in order to stimulate mental activity, it is necessary to offer or set a task to the subject.
