Abstract

One of the founders of soil science V.V. Dokuchaev at the beginning of the 20th century considered the soil as a natural-historical organism with its own interrelations, laws of life and self-regulation. Soil is an indispensable natural resource. Currently, science has not yet found artificial material capable of replacing soil. The soil is a fertile top layer of land on which plants grow. The soil includes sand, clay, small stones, plants, decomposed remains of small animals (humus).Soil quality depends on morphological, genetic, chemical and physical properties. The main soil pollutants include pesticides, mineral fertilizers, production waste, oil and oil products, etc. Soil pollution is an excess amount of chemicals, biological organisms (bacteria, viruses, protozoa, helminths) and waste products.
