The place and role of grain in ensuring food security in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic: an international legal approach
Abstract
Today, the issue of ensuring food security is an urgent global problem. The world community has identified the elimination of hunger, ensuring food security and improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agricultural development as one of the goals for the implementation of sustainable development [1]. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), about 690 million people are hungry in the world [2]. Moreover, the current pandemic is exacerbating this global problem by interrupting the supply of food, increasing unemployment, limiting labor migration and harvesting.
