Abstract

This paper examines green hydrogen as a new geostrategic domain of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Gulf States. It analyzes Kazakhstan’s renewable energy potential, the hydrogen strategies of the Gulf countries, and the structural complementarity between the two regions. The findings demonstrate that green hydrogen presents significant opportunities for long-term cooperation, energy security, economic diversification, and geopolitical alignment. Using a qualitative comparative-analytical methodology, the study concludes with targeted policy recommendations to strengthen the Kazakhstan–Gulf hydrogen partnership.
