Abstract

The article evaluates the works of the early twentieth century, inspired by the rich poetic heritage of the great thinker Muhammad Fizuli in Azerbaijani poetry. Basically, comparative analysis was carried out against the background of artistic samples from the works of such masters of the word as Mirza Alekper Sabir, Abbas Sikhhat, Ali Nazmi, Samad Mansur, Mirza Ali Mojuz. In general, in the article the problem of tradition and innovation has become the object of analysis against the backdrop of current literary trends of that period
