Abstract

The article focuses on the social aspects of the green economy transition in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since agriculture is a key industry that has an impact on the country's food security through nutrition and the impact on the health of the country's population, the transformation of agriculture and related industries of the agro-industrial complex is important for the whole country. The transition to a more sustainable production of agricultural products with the potential of "clean" (without the use of chemicals and pesticides, without the harmful effects of a polluted environment, with a waste-free closed-loop infrastructure) nutrition for the local population, including socially vulnerable segments of the population, is what the green economy implies in social implementation.
