CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF THE 19TH CENTURY AZERBAIJANI ENLIGHTENMENT

Abstract

The article examines the leatures of the Azerbaiiani enlightenment. The definition of the system of religious and cultural values of the Azerbaijani enlightenment and its relevance in modern times are shown. The article also defines the essence of the concept of "value" in the Azerbaijani enlightenment, makes generalizations about cultural values on the basis of literary and artistic works of the Azerbaijani enlighteners of the XIX century. Enlightenment is one of the important socio-political, cultural and philosophical events in the history of Azerbaijani thought. Enlightenment is presented as a system of ideas and thinking that forms the nation, as an important stage in the development of Azerbaijani culture. The emergence of a new worldview in the Enlightenment gave impetus to the formation of a certain system of values. Enlightenment values are the reference point of every cultural-historical movement, philosophical school and artistic trend.
