Abstract

The article examines the integration of two effective trends in modern psychotherapy – Jeffrey Yang's schema therapy and Eric Bern's transactional analysis. The purpose of the article is to analyze the general principles, the distinctive features of these two approaches, which have different theoretical foundations, and the possibility of combining them in practical work with a client. It was revealed that schema therapy provides deep emotional healing, while transactional analysis creates the optimal basis for changes at the level of relationships and communication. The combined use of these two approaches enhances the formation of a "healthy adult/adult" state in the therapeutic process and increases the client's ability to self-regulate
