Comparative Analysis of the Concept of ‘Mother’ in English and Kazakh Languages

This article presents an extensive comparative analysis of the concept of ‘Mother’ in English and Kazakh languages from linguistic, semantic, cognitive, and cultural perspectives. The research investigates lexical units, phraseological expressions, metaphorical meanings, proverbs, literary representations, and symbolic interpretations associated with motherhood in both linguistic traditions. The study identifies similarities and differences in how the image of the mother is verbalized and culturally represented. Special attention is devoted to emotional meanings, family values, national traditions, social expectations, and the moral role of mothers in both societies. The article also examines how linguistic means reflect cultural identity and influence the perception of motherhood in English-speaking and Kazakh communities
