Abstract

In the context of Kazakhstan, this article compares the effects of transactional and

Laissez-Faire leadership styles on project success. The objective of this study is to offer insights into the best leadership style for project success in Kazakhstan organizations by examining different leadership elements and their effects on project outcomes. There was conducted analysis based on survey with questions about each leadership style and achievement of project results, which was used to get primary data from project managers in Kazakhstan. Data was analyzed due to correlation between leadership styles elements and project success variables. Research found that transactional and laissez-faire leadership styles have similar relationships on project success and they are both not suitable to use because of negative correlations to project success factors, but transactional leadership style is more preferable than laissez-faire.
