Abstract

In recent years, there has been a global trend towards transitioning to alternative energy sources to achieve zero emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Kazakhstan, as a country predominantly engaged in the extraction of natural resources, has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. To achieve this goal, various initiatives have been systematically implemented in Kazakhstan over the past decade to accelerate the implementation of green projects, in order to successfully comply with the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement.Due to the rapid development pace of green projects in the country, it is crucial to examine the potential challenges facing the country, as well as potential investors and companies that will engage in green projects implementation. This study aims to investigate potential factors that may negatively impact the successful development of green energy in the country. There are conducted scientometric and bibliometric analysis of over 760 publications to identify publication trends on the topic of green projects in Kazakhstan.
