THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVELOPING STUDENTS' ECOLOGICAL LITERACY IN MATHEMATICS LESSONS
Abstract
Due to the rapid development of scientific and technological progress, the results of human activities have led to significant qualitative changes in nature. Today, humanity influences natural processes, transformations, and the exchange of energy and matter in ways never seen before.
Harmful substances released into the environment tend to interact with elements of the natural surroundings. However, the scientific foundations and patterns of these phenomena still require in-depth research. The accumulation of industrial waste pollutes the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere, leading to an increase in diseases among humans and animals, accelerating the oxidation of vehicles and metal equipment, and reducing the productivity of agricultural crops and livestock.
The inefficient use of natural resources and energy leads to ecosystem degradation, the destruction of unique natural complexes, and an increased risk of extinction for plant and animal species.
