Abstract

This study explores how certain food and drink terms function as culturonyms—culturally loaded words that convey significant cultural identity. By examining specific examples across diverse cultures, this paper demonstrates how these terms encapsulate not only culinary practices but also historical memory, national pride, and social values. The findings suggest that food and drink culturonyms play a key role in shaping both internal cultural cohesion and global perception.
