In modern education, the development of students’ communicative competence in foreign languages has become a key priority. Traditional teaching approaches often fail to actively engage young learners, especially at the primary and lower secondary levels. This study explores the effectiveness of interactive and game-based learning strategies in developing English language skills among 5th grade students.
The purpose of the research is to identify effective methods that enhance students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through engaging classroom activities. A quasi-experimental approach was used, involving the implementation of interactive techniques such as role-playing, digital tools, and language games. The findings demonstrate that game-based learning significantly increases student motivation, participation, and communicative competence.
