Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is fundamentally reshaping the global healthcare landscape. From early disease detection and diagnostic imaging analysis to precision medicine, robotic surgery, and accelerated drug discovery, AI-driven technologies are delivering measurable improvements in both clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the key areas in which AI is transforming healthcare, examining the principal technologies involved - including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics - alongside their practical applications, demonstrated effectiveness, and the challenges that remain.

The study also explores the ethical considerations surrounding data privacy, algorithmic bias, and equitable access to AI-powered tools. A comparative analysis of AI application domains is presented, highlighting performance levels and deployment barriers. The findings indicate that while AI holds extraordinary potential to reduce diagnostic errors, shorten drug development cycles, and personalize patient care, its sustainable integration into healthcare systems requires robust regulatory frameworks, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continued investment in infrastructure and digital literacy.
