The impact of cooperation with international financial institutions on the economy of Azerbaijan (a case study of the International Monetary Fund)

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of cooperation between Azerbaijan and international financial institutions, with a particular focus on the International Monetary Fund, on the country’s economic development. The study examines the effects of IMF engagement on inflation and economic growth, drawing on empirical data and macroeconomic indicators. Within the framework of the research, the financial support, technical assistance programs, and contributions to institutional reforms provided by these institutions are thoroughly investigated. The article also evaluates the role of international financial institutions in ensuring macroeconomic stability and implementing structural reforms in Azerbaijan. The findings suggest that such cooperation has accelerated economic modernization processes in the country, while simultaneously giving rise to certain dependency risks and institutional challenges
