Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom approach in enhancing students’ verbal engagement in biology education within the context of contemporary digital learning environments. The research aims to examine how the implementation of this pedagogical model contributes to the development of students’ speaking activity, communicative competence, and active participation in the learning process. A systematic review based on the PRISMA methodology was conducted using peer-reviewed publications indexed in the Scopus database. The selected studies were analyzed to identify key trends, methodological approaches, and factors influencing the successful implementation of the Flipped Classroom. The findings reveal a growing academic interest in this approach, particularly in response to the increasing integration of digital technologies and the shift toward student-centered learning models. The results demonstrate that the Flipped Classroom effectively promotes active learning, enhances students’ ability to express scientific ideas, and fosters the development of critical thinking and communication skills. The study also identifies essential conditions for its successful application, including high-quality digital instructional materials, teachers’ methodological and technological competence, and the organization of interactive classroom activities. The Flipped Classroom is confirmed as a comprehensive and flexible pedagogical model that addresses key challenges in modern science education. The study contributes to both theoretical understanding and practical implementation of innovative teaching strategies and provides a foundation for future research on adaptive and context-specific applications.
