This article explores the implementation of the humanistic teaching approach known as ‘Suggestopedia’ in English as a Second Language (ESL) classrooms. The focus is specifically on the use of music as a tool to overcome student reticence during class discussions. Drawing from personal teaching experience in Kazakhstan, the author examines the effectiveness of Suggestopedia in creating an engaging and stress-free learning environment.
