The article examines the role and significance of the best interests of the child principle in the context of international migration. It analyses the importance of this principle in protecting the rights and interests of children crossing borders in search of a better life or as a result of actions by state authorities. International standards and normative acts are also considered. The objective of this article is to analyse the best interests of the child principle as an essential element of international law and migration policy, as well as to identify its role in safeguarding children in the context of migration instability. The conclusion emphasises the importance of considering the best interests of the child principle in the development and implementation of migration strategies to ensure their well-being and protection.
