This article provides a detailed overview of the development of the internet and computer technologies, their role in education and social fields, and cybersecurity issues. It starts by explaining the history of the internet and its global evolution. The contributions of Tim Berners-Lee and Vinton Cerf, as well as the progress made since the 1950s, are highlighted.
The article emphasizes the role of the internet in modern society for accessing knowledge and sharing information. It discusses common cybersecurity threats, such as phishing, brute-forcing, malware, and social engineering attacks, and provides recommendations on measures users should take to protect themselves.
In Azerbaijan, the development of the internet since 1993 and its application in the public sector are noted, along with the regulation of internet services and their availability to the private sector. The role of the internet in education is emphasized, with information on virtual learning platforms and systems like Microsoft Teams, Moodle, and Zoom, which support online education. Overall, the article stresses the importance of the internet and technology in modern society and highlights their effective use as essential for education and development.
