Abstract

Writing about travel is both a challenge and an honor. The way of life and traditions of the country and people you see for the first time; in a word, everything has an unusual effect on you.  Before you get caught, write what you write so that future generations will remember you with respect and benefit from what you wrote. Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) - the world-famous French writer, "The Count of Monte Cristo", "The Three Musketeers", "The Man in the Iron Mask", "The Black Lily", etc. he is the author of such famous works. Those works have been translated into almost all languages ​​of the world, published, and screened many times by the most famous directors. A. Dumas is also known as a playwright and a professional journalist who has written articles for newspapers. From the second half of 1858 to the beginning of 1859, A. Duma, who loved to travel, visited the territory of the Russian Empire, including the Caucasus. A. Duma, who started his journey from Petersburg, then came to the Caucasus via Moscow, Kazan, Saratov and Astrakhan, where he visited a number of Azerbaijani cities, including Darbend, Guba, Baku, Shamakhi and Nukha.
