ГЛОБАЛЬНОЕ ПОТЕПЛЕНИЕ, COP29 И АЗЕРБАЙДЖАН

Abstract

Climate change is currently considered one of the main problems worrying the world. 2024 was marked by the hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) by Azerbaijan, a producer and exporter of fossil fuels. The leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan has set itself the goal of demonstrating a strategy for taking serious measures related to climate change. COP29 is a global forum where important steps will be taken together to discuss and solve environmental problems. Holding COP29 increases the positive image of Azerbaijan in the international arena in the political sphere. This process creates conditions for a broad discussion of the republic's environmental policy, energy efficiency and efficient management of resources.
