About the common alphabet of Turkic peoples

Abstract

After the independence of the Turkic-speaking republics of the former Soviet Union, the interest in investigating the orthographic and orthoepic problems, phonetic, lexical-semantic and grammatical layers of the Turkish languages on a diachronic and synchronic level, on a comparative-typological level, has increased, and a number of studies have been conducted in this field. Common alphabet and spelling problems among the Turkic peoples are of great political and social importance for the science of Turkology today. It should be noted that, although a number of studies have been conducted recently, both in Azerbaijan and in the Turkic world, regarding the common language of communication for Turks, the problems of alphabet and spelling on the way to a common language of communication have not yet been subject to systematic and comprehensive research, and disagreements in this field still exist today.

Common spelling and alphabet problems are one of the issues that have always gained special relevance as an object of discussion among the Turkic peoples. From the beginning of the 20th century until now, this problem has been in the interest of each of the Turkic-speaking peoples as a necessity. It is clear that it is impossible to create a common communication and a common spelling among the Turkic peoples without solving the issue of a common alphabet. Therefore, researching various topics in Turkology in this direction is of great scientific importance.

Spelling rules of all nations with developed literary languages and spelling dictionaries. Literary language with certain, stable, standardized grammatical-lexical forms and units constantly interacts with spoken language and dialects and other languages ​​in the process of its activity and development.

In this process, it is important to formulate certain laws to ensure the stability of those norms. The common alphabet, spelling and communication language of the Turkic peoples of these laws orthography as a whole defines and determines the correct spelling of words and all their grammatical forms in writing.

Turkic languages ​​are not very different from each other. Both their genetic, typological, and grammatical structures, commonalities of the main vocabulary have led to their unification in one language family - the family of Turkic languages. It is because of this commonality that almost all of this language group can easily understand each other.
