Abstract

Herbal teas are widely used in traditional medicine. They are potentially rich sources of phytochemicals that help reduce the risk of disease. Although the bioactivity of many herbal teas is known through preclinical studies, further analytical and clinical studies are needed to investigate the bioactive compounds involved and their mode of action in reducing disease risk and promoting health.
