THE IMPACT OF TOBACCO SMOKING IN UNIVERSITY CAMPUS ON PUBLIC AND DENTAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS AND STAFF (CASE STUDY IN ALMATY)

A study conducted among medical university students showed a significant link between smoking, the presence of smoking parents and the development of chronic diseases associated with nicotine addiction. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the prevalence of smoking among future medical professionals, their perception of smoking as a habit and the desire to get rid of addiction. The study highlights the need to strengthen the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among young people and especially among medical students, given their role in shaping an example of a healthy lifestyle for society. The results of the study may contribute to the development of more effective strategies to prevent and reduce smoking among young people and medical professionals.
