Against the background of global challenges, management processes in organizations have become more complicated. To achieve organizational goals, it is necessary to improve management processes and introduce modern approaches. In order to overcome the existing challenges, the qualifications, skills and professional characteristics of managers are important.

The article discusses modern functions of management, their implementation practices and challenges. The issue is relevant, since problems in this direction are frequent, therefore, it is important to study them, develop recommendations and solve problems.
