Abstract

Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) is an acute, highly contagious disease caused by the bovine herpes virus (Bovine Herpesvirus-1, BoHV-1). It is widespread all over the world and causes significant economic damage due to a decrease in animal productivity. In Kazakhstan, cattle are also affected by the IBR virus, especially in the south, where a large number of cattle have been registered.
