Abstract

The article discusses the legal nature of the tourism service contract, its importance in the tourism business and the existing challenges in terms of protecting consumer rights. Special attention is paid to the obligation of the tourist, as a weak party to the contract, to provide information correctly. The paper analyzes the Georgian legislation regulating the tourism service contract, judicial practice and its compliance with the relevant EU directives. It also discusses the existing violations in the field of tourism services, their impact on the development of the tourism sector and the economic situation of the country. The role of digital platforms and existing gaps in the field of tourism services are emphasized. Based on the research, existing problems and recommendations for their solution are presented.
