This article examines the scientific and methodological significance of audiovisual resources in enhancing the expressive reading skills of primary school students. The relevance of the study is grounded in the impact of emerging technologies within the contemporary digital educational environment on the development of students' linguistic and emotional competencies. Expressive reading is characterized not merely as a technical process, but as a complex trajectory toward deep text perception and the internalization of its inner content. The article analyzes the core components of expressive reading—logical emphasis, intonational phrasing, and pausing—through the lens of multimedia tools. The author presents the findings of experimental research demonstrating the role of audiobooks, interactive animations, and video clips in improving students' functional literacy. Furthermore, the methodological effectiveness of voice recording and subsequent reflection by students is described. The results of the study indicate that the integration of audiovisual resources significantly increases reading motivation and substantially elevates the level of aesthetic perception of the text. This work provides practical guidance for primary school teachers and educational methodologists
