Project-based learning as a progressive learning technology in biology teaching in comprehensive schools

Abstract

The methodology of passively receiving and repeating information is no longer sufficient to educate students in modern times. Students should have both the basic skills and the ability to cope with the challenging situations of the 21st century. In this context, project-based learning supports the development of 21^st century skills such as critical and creative thinking, collaboration, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, use of advanced technology tools, and communication.
