Abstract

The article discusses the concept of green architecture (sustainable) as well as global standards for its application. The main emphasis is on the importance of green architecture in the modern world and its close relationship with energy conservation and economics. The energy consumption in construction processes using traditional methods and its negative impact on the environment and society are examined.

One of the main points of the article is the description of the advantages of using the concept of (green) sustainable architecture, which are closely related to our environment, society and also to energy saving. The article also presents several examples of the use of sustainable architecture.

Nowadays, society is increasingly aware of the close connection between economic development and the environment. It can be noted that traditional forms of economic development, with excessive use of natural resources, have a detrimental effect on the environment.
