This work covers current morbidity and mortality rates, organizational issues and results of cervical cancer screening in our country. A detailed algorithm is presented and the diagnostic capabilities of this method in clinically asymptomatic individuals are reflected. It has been shown that to achieve an effective result, strict adherence to the methodology of this type of screening is necessary.
