Abstract

The history of fashion is said by many circles that the concept of fashion first appeared in the 1900s. Charles Worth's assistant, Paul Poiret, who was considered one of the best tailors of that time, opened his workshop in Paris in the following years. Fashion and vogue took on a different dimension and ignited fashion trends as Poiret showcased his specially designed dresses. The historical development of fashion began in 1902 when Thomas Burberry first printed his brand on gabardine, and in 1905 it began to reach a wider audience with the publication of fashion supplements in newspapers.
