ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AS A PRIORITY ISSUE OF EDUCATION

Abstract

In the article, a number of issues related to the holding of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29, including environmental education and environmental education for the prevention of environmental risks, are put forward. It is noted that a person should understand from a young age that soil, air and water pollution can cause an environmental disaster that threatens human life. Every person should understand that the elimination of environmental pollution depends on his environmental culture, upbringing and education. It is no coincidence that many scientists consider environmental education as a systematic pedagogical activity aimed at the development of environmental culture in children.

The formation of ecological culture is the development of ecological awareness and ecological sensitivity to nature in daily communication with it in the pedagogical process. Environmental education includes a person's knowledge in the field of ecology and the formation of his moral responsibility for the protection of the natural environment
