Abstract: Newspaper article titles, as a conglomeration of intentions and a microcosm of linguistic cultural traditions, play a special role in promotional activities and text perception. The aim of our research is to study linguistic-cultural conflicts and trends of usage from a particular context. We made an attempt to research this issue and present the first results in exploring the problem. Our research is conducted in a secondary school in Kazakhstan. The research has focused on three ethnic groups of students that showed the highest use of English in their article title choice. Nowadays, the use and choice of English articles as the basis for communicative activity are relevant in a range of research-developed countries. This article discusses the use of English as a universal tool for ethnic-community identification while creating bilingual article titles. The audience brings about their language culture and a variety of communicative needs
