Abstract

The sustainable development of livestock farming in the Republic of Kazakhstan largely depends on the reliable supply of animal feed to remote and environmentally unfavorable regions. Transportation of highly compacted feed is considered one of the most effective solutions for reducing transportation costs and minimizing feed losses. However, the organization of such transportation faces significant logistical, infrastructural, and economic challenges.

This paper analyzes the existing transport and logistics system for delivering highly compacted feed to unfavorable regions of Kazakhstan. Special attention is paid to the choice of transport modes, routing schemes, cost optimization, and the impact of infrastructure limitations. Based on the analysis of statistical data and practical cases, key bottlenecks in feed transportation are identified. Recommendations are proposed to improve the efficiency of feed logistics through multimodal transportation, route optimization, and state support mechanisms.

The results of the study can be used in planning feed supply systems for livestock enterprises located in remote regions and in developing regional agricultural logistics strategies
