ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND THE COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH: AN INTEGRATIVE METHOD IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with the communicative approach in English language teaching. The findings indicate that AI enables the personalization of the learning process, assessment of students’ language skills, and automatic error analysis. The communicative approach focuses on developing students’ speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills, while AI tools facilitate the efficient and individualized enhancement of these competencies. The article analyzes the synergistic effect of combining both methods and addresses the roles of the instructor and institutional support in implementing this integrative approach.
