Abstract

The article provides a philosophical and historical analysis of the phenomenon of virtual reality from the standpoint of socio-cultural typology, identifying the specifics of the functioning of alienated reality, trends of change and features of their manifestation. The features of the philosophical reflection of G. Anders and J. Baudrillard in their attitude to the otherness of virtual reality. Emphasis is placed on the identification and reflection of forms of alienation of a person in virtual reality. The problems and factors of loss of individuality, dominance of virtual communication, simplification of personal existence are indicated
