Abdulla Shaig was a creative personality who was attached to the life, traditions, national-spiritual values of the people he belonged to, loved them, and showed loyalty to these important qualities in his creativity, social and practical activities. He was remembered in the history of literary and cultural thought of Azerbaijan for his versatile activities as a poet, prose writer, dramatist, critic and literary critic, pedagogue, translator and public figure. Abdulla Shaig also spread the light of intelligence and culture on the path of the children of the people to a happy tomorrow.
As an artist, Abdulla Shaig created pearls of national children's literature in Azerbaijani literature, he laid the foundation of national children's literature with a series of poems and translations from world literature starting from 1906. Abdulla Shaig's poems "Cock", "Violet", "Goat", "Lamb", "Golden Rose", "Carnation" and other poems written for children, plays such as "Fox Goes on Pilgrimage", "Tik-Tik Lady" are now being read by children. is also received with interest.
Shaiq was engaged in education and school work, he found ways to publish a magazine for women, open a kindergarten for children, create a library, and educate poor children for free. At the same time, he prepared the book "Alifba" and compiled various textbooks and lesson programs.
A number of poems written by Abdulla Shaig for children, whose signature began to appear in the press with the children's poem "Laylay", were published in the well-known "Dabistan" and "Maktab" collections for children and youth. A. Shaig also laid the foundation of the national children's theater with his play "Beautiful Spring" written in 1910
