DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN: CURRENT STATE AND PROBLEMS

Abstract

Tourism is one of the economic activities and plays an important role in the global economy. The modern tourism industry is one of the most profitable and most dynamically developing sectors of the world economy, providing paid services to the population. Despite the strong exposure to the negative impact of global, regional economic and political crises, the tourism business is ahead of all types of industrial production and paid services.

Currently, world tourism has a rapid development. At the same time, Kazakhstan has huge potential for the development of recreation and tourism, and the creation of a modern highly efficient industry on this basis.

In the Republic of Kazakhstan, at present, two organizational forms of tourism can be distinguished: international and domestic tourism.

International tourism includes:

inbound tourism - travel within the Republic of Kazakhstan of persons who do not permanently reside on its territory;

outbound tourism - travel of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan to another country.
