The article examines the relationship between cultural environments and teaching methods, emphasizing their impact on individual identity and social development. It explores how culture shapes personal and interpersonal skills, noting the differences between group-oriented and individualistic cultures. The article highlights the evolving nature of culture, particularly in Georgia, where historical and socio-political factors have shaped a culture that is currently at a turning point. The educational system, influenced by past totalitarian regimes, has traditionally promoted passive learning and obedience. However, the article advocates for a shift towards active, student-centered teaching methods that foster critical thinking, self-reliance, and personal growth. Despite resistance from educators accustomed to traditional models, this abstract shows that modernizing teaching methods is essential for developing independent individuals capable of contributing to social progress. The article stresses the importance of teacher training and professional development in overcoming these challenges and achieving successful educational reform
