Abstract

This article is devoted to the question of using critical thinking in teaching English as a foreign language. The article discusses what critical thinking is and what it is not. The study dwells on the importance of looking at any issue from different angles, considering both positive and negative sides of any subject. The importance of believing and doubting game is shown on the example of an ESL lesson.
