Abstract

This article is an overview of the ESG practices of European business, state climate regulation in the European Union, as well as the experience of European investors and companies. This experience can be useful for Kazakhstani companies in terms of methodology and management. Already, the impact of the European ESG agenda on Kazakh exporters is obvious. The main conclusion of the study is that the “green transition” creates unique opportunities to make the business model more efficient and sustainable, enter new markets, and gain access to international green finance.
