Abstract

The main goal of initial stage of mastering a foreign language in educational institution is laying the language groundwork that will allow a further acquisition of the language up to development of ability to speak frequently. To achieve this student has to acquire decently such language skills as writing, reading, listening and speaking. Development of each skill foresees the usage of different learning approaches and techniques.

Just as other sciences, pedagogy is influenced by numerous of external factors, which include the introduction of digital technologies into different spheres of human activity and the growth of their role in particular human’s life. During the last decade the usage of smartphones, tablets and computers in almost all lessons, introduction of digital educational platforms and distance courses as well as usage of educational app with gamification elements became widespread. Different experimental techniques, methods and their combinations are used in foreign language teaching, which allow achieving a high efficiency in aspects of educational process. One of these examples is submersion of students into situations of development under the holistic learning approach.
