Abstract

The main goal of teaching foreign language is the formation of foreign language communicative competence which implies the development of speech skills. In the methods there are different approaches to teaching foreign language, one of which is the lexical approach. The features of professional English in the lexical approach are considered in the article  The lexical approach is a relatively new trend in teaching professional English. This approach is not a separate method of language teaching and is only partially implemented in English lessons, and nevertheless, every year it becomes increasingly popular among foreign language teachers, students and self-learners of the language.
