Abstract

This article focuses on the phenomenon of the "perfect victim" - a person who possesses a number of characteristics that make that person more likely to become a victim of a crime or to be seriously challenged.  This phenomenon is reflected in culture, literature, religion, and forensic science. Myths, fairy tales, and contemporary films have been analyzed to identify and describe the characteristics of the ideal victim.
