Abstract

Patriotism is a concept that includes the love of each person for the country and giving up their personal interests and working and fighting only for the sake of the country. Patriotism fully reflects devotion to the motherland. This attachment also occurs as national sentiment or national pride based on the ethnic, cultural, political and historical characteristics of the nation to which one belongs. Here, protecting the character and cultural pearls of one’s homeland and identifying oneself with other members of the nation with these qualities, protecting the interest of the homeland and one’s people also belong to the qualities of patriotism [1].

The historical root of patriotism is statehood, which has lived and strengthened for thousands of years, and is tied to its native land, language and traditions. In the conditions of the formation of the nation and statehood, patriotism becomes an integral part of public thinking reflecting the national moments of its development [1].

In addition, patriotism is an individual’s love and devotion to his/her country. This concept has been used in different ways in certain periods of history, and its meaning is highly dependent on the conditions, geography and philosophy of the society of the time.

Any text can cover a variety of topics. For example, sports texts, scientific texts, patriotic texts, etc.

Patriotic themes can be found in different writings and texts. This is such a topic that every person who loves his/her country will at least once speak on this topic, express his/her opinion, or reflect it (patriotism) in his/her writings.
