Abstract

Increasing the production of agricultural products for the population and raw materials for the light food industry is the main task of agriculture.

The fulfillment of this essential task requires the development and implementation of agrotechnical measures on used low-yielding and unused lands from farms, and by increasing soil fertility, as a result, they will ensure a high and solid harvest.

Correct management of the irrigation regime of agricultural crops is one of the most significant among all other agrotechnical measures.

Recently, many irrigation systems have been arranged and restored in Georgia. But the fulfillment of every requirement does not depend just on the scale of the construction of irrigation systems. For this, it is necessary and critical to correctly operate the irrigation network and to use the received water rationally, based on the implementation of proper irrigation techniques and irrigation regime.
