The article examines the constitutional foundations of the mechanism for the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, which are understood as a certain system of bodies, means enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, providing the most complete and effective protection of human and civil rights and freedoms.
In this direction, in particular, the main results of the сonstitutional reform carried out in 2022 were considered, within the framework of which the legal modernization of the country's political system was carried out, including in terms of strengthening its human rights capabilities. Within the framework of improving the effectiveness of mechanisms for the protection of constitutional rights and freedoms, the competencies of the Constitutional Court and the Commissioner for Human Rights are considered
