Abstract

In today's fiercely competitive manufacturing landscape, maintenance plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence. To maintain a competitive edge, companies must continuously optimize their production processes. Lean manufacturing principles have accentuated the importance of efficient maintenance, surpassing traditional corrective methods. Condition-based maintenance (CBM), hinging on real-time equipment condition data, has gained prominence as a proactive strategy. However, its application in manufacturing, including our company Novus Bolashak, remains relatively underdeveloped. This research delves into the formulation and execution of a CBM strategy, shedding light on its cost-effectiveness and practical implications. Case studies conducted at a major manufacturing site, including ours, form the basis of this study, highlighting the potential of CBM to mitigate equipment damage and production losses, particularly in high-volume production settings.
